Health fascinates me. Not because of an innate need to understand how our bodies work but rather because of the extent to which we’re prepared to take risks with our health.
There are people who jump out of planes for fun, but the chances of dying from that are 0.008%. They know the risks of doing so, but make sure they do something about it by training for it and then strapping a parachute to their back. In contrast, there’s a 53% chance of one of us dying from a non-communicable disease, such as diabetes or heart disease and yet we adopt a ‘laissez-faire’ approach to this risk – even though we can significantly reduce this risk. We even know that there’s a 90% chance that such a disease will have a significant impact on our ability to continue leading a normal healthy life.
Now, that’s a statistic worth taking seriously.
But with such a confusing array of health apps fighting for our attention, which one do you choose to guide you towards the new healthy-eating, exercise-focused individual you have committed to becoming? How can you be certain the advice you’re being given is as good as that given by your own doctor?
Our team have just released the latest version of the award-winning Quealth app – and it’s a great app. For a start, it’s been quoted by a leading UK university and academics as "one of the world’s most effective predictors" of diabetes, cardiovascular disease and lung disease. But we have gone further… much, much further. The new user interface has been completely overhauled and designed with help from the Ui/Ux experts of one of the world’s leading technology companies, and we'll continue to work on it to make sure it becomes truly beautiful.
But, the most interesting advance is the launch of Quealth Coach. Your personal, digital and conversational health coach, there to guide you through this life-changing experience – complete with a personal, laser-focused health agenda, chats and shouts.
To download the latest Quealth app, please head over to the Download page on our website or find Quealth in the Apple App Store, Google Play Store or Samsung Galaxy Apps store.
We're just getting started though, so make sure you keep an eye out for further updates in the next few weeks and months!
