Health and lifestyle app helps Lenovo users reduce their chances of developing five biggest killer diseases
NOTTINGHAM, UK – Wednesday 16th November, 2016 – Quealth, one of the world’s most accurate predictors of cardiovascular disease, lung disease and type 2 diabetes, has been selected by the world’s biggest personal computer manufacturer Lenovo to be part of its App Explorer platform.
Lenovo App Explorer is pre-installed on every new Lenovo laptop and desktop PC that uses Windows 10. Along with apps such as Facebook, Skype, Dropbox and TripAdvisor, App Explorer features Quealth, an accurate predictor of risk for developing the top five lifestyle-driven diseases: type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular (heart and stroke) disease, six forms of cancer, dementia and chronic obstructive pulmonary (lung) disease.
Alistair Wickens, CEO of roadtohealth Group Ltd, the UK company behind the app, said: “Lenovo chose Quealth as a platform partner because of its easy-to-use interface, clinical validation and excellent user feedback. Quealth introduces clinical accuracy to the digital health and lifestyle sector with the aim of improving people’s lives – and the partnership with Lenovo is ideal to get it in front of a broad range of people.”
The app is based on award-winning proprietary algorithms that evaluate a series of answers about lifestyle, family history and health across the five key risk areas. The resultant Quealth Score - a number from 1 to 100 - gives an accurate reflection of the general health of the person. The higher the number, the healthier they are.
Quealth then delivers tailored content that encourages and educates the user to make improvements in all areas of health covered by the application.
Strenuous academic testing has shown that the health risk assessments (HRAs) are as accurate as those used in the medical world – and now they are available to the general public.
Quealth is also the crucial link between the huge amount of statistical data generated by the boom in consumer wearable devices and the clinical world. People who use fitness trackers or biometric and diet apps can feed this data into Quealth, which interprets it and updates their Quealth Score accordingly.
Quealth is available free of charge via Lenovo App Explorer, Apple’s App Store, Google Play, Samsung Galaxy App Store and other channels.
